These are some black & white self portraits that I took with a film camera and developed myself. The composites were completed entirely in the darkroom.

We went for a real magazine feel this week. Lots of big colors and big ideas as far as newsprint goes.

This is the February 9th front page of the Southside Times. We did a community feature about the best doughnut shops and it required something a little different. I developed the plates layout around the idea of an old-fashioned doughnut shop and then incorporated elements and color throughout the layout.

McDonald's is a brand that is known worldwide so creating a full page ad for a broadsheet newspaper can be a daunting task. I tend to have a love affair with movie posters and it comes out in my layouts from time to time. I designed this completely in Adobe Indesign.

On this cover of the Carmel Business Leader, we had custom arcade game builder. I knew I wanted to do something in the style of retro 80s arcades. I decided on the headline font and it took off from there. I painted in the glow on his hand with multiple techniques, illuminated his face and couldn't complete it until I made his hair a little electrical as well. The cover subject loved it.

On the cover: John Wade, a bar owner on Indianapolis' north side. The green Apple Pucker bottle really pops next to the purple masthead. This was the first time that we covered the masthead this intensely.
